“I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle. Do not correct me in anger, for I would die.”

Jeremiah 10:23-24

But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves are green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Merry Christmas, back in the USA!!

So I've been back home in Iowa for 3 weeks now and I'm really enjoying the time to reconnect with friends and family! I've been to Des Moines, Lincoln and back home in Washington doing presentations at both my churches and eating out at lots of restaurants with friends! I spent Christmas at my sister's home in North Liberty and here's a pic of my nieces and nephew by their Christmas tree, right before opening presents!!I've also had lots of time to hang out with them as they were at my parents' home last weekend through New Year's Day. Here's a pic of them getting ready to go sledding with Grandpa!
Here's a pic outside my parents home after a fresh snowfall, the wind making visibility low!!
I head back to Cape Town on January 7th. My parents and oldest niece Nicole will be going back with me to check out the sites in the Cape Town area through Jan 21st. I'm excited to show them everything I love about Cape Town! I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday season!!
