“I know, Lord, that our lives are not our own. We are not able to plan our own course. So correct me, Lord, but please be gentle. Do not correct me in anger, for I would die.”

Jeremiah 10:23-24

But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves are green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

Jeremiah 17:7-8

Feeding program at Vissershok Primary School

We have partnered with an organization called The Said Foundation to do a Feeding Program at the Vissershok Primary School. This is the school where we also teach twice a week. The Said Foundation has been trying to provide hot food for the kids twice a week, but they needed more help. They saw us coming to the school as well so decided to ask if we would be willing to assist them. So we have a least one volunteer go there to assist in preparing and serving the food on Monday and Fridays. I have been going the last few weeks and its so awesome to be able to help provide something so important for the kids. For some of them this is the only meal they will receive!! We also assist by picking up donated food on some Thursday nights and on Saturdays. The Woolworths grocery store donates the food and sometimes they donate odd things the kids won't eat so sometimes they let us have that stuff, so we've gotten things like sushi and cambert cheese - perks for helping out!! Here are some pics from the program.
